As we left the museum, the kids were still discussing the things that they saw. This type of cross-age activity is so important to both ages. This is one of several times that these two grade levels were able to interact with each other within an academic setting. In December, the Middle Schoolers visited our class store and provided an authentic audience for our project. They also came down during “The Hour of Code” and helped the second graders learn coding. This past week it was our turn to come and help them celebrate their hard work. Watching how these two groups of students comfortably interact with each other is another reminder about how strong our community is and how important it is to support one another.
