Physical Education (PE) Teacher (Preschool – 8th Grade)

Our small, independent private school seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic PE teacher to lead engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education and health classes for preschool through 8th-grade students. With access to a gym and nine acres of land, you can design creative and active experiences that foster teamwork, physical fitness, and a love of movement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing PNA’s developmentally appropriate curriculum for PE and health
- Incorporate social-emotional learning (SEL) into lessons to help students develop confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills
- Encourage a lifelong appreciation for health, fitness, and well-being
- Manage classroom activities and create a supportive learning environment
- Monitoring the safety and well-being of students
- Maintaining positive and professional relationships with families and staff
- Attending all mandatory staff meetings and training
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives
- Display a high level of integrity, responsibility, and reliability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Outdoor Education, or a related field
- Experience working with preschool through middle school-aged students
- Understanding of child development and age-appropriate physical education practices
- Strong ability to motivate and engage students in a positive learning environment
- Passion for outdoor education, movement, and play-based learning
